Madan G Anand founded Pioticon in 2023 after 25 years delivering infrastructure projects across Australia, New Zealand, Qatar and India, from client, consultant and contractor sides. He kept seeing capable teams run projects on information that arrived too late to act on. Pioticon exists to close that gap. Built on his proprietary Pi System, the business delivers integrated project management and controls services, capability coaching through Pi Academy, and performance intelligence software through PiViz. His aim is simple: decisions made on evidence, while there is still time.

The story
From the site to the steering committee
Madan started in 2001 as a site engineer on roads in India, then moved through quantity survey, road design, estimating and planning across India and Qatar. The hands-on years shaped a view he still holds: a plan is only useful if the people building the work believe in it.
In Australia he built and led planning and project controls functions at John Holland and AECOM, then in New Zealand ran controls for the Pūhoi to Warkworth PPP with ACCIONA before becoming National Project Controls Manager at Fletcher Construction, governing performance across a portfolio of major alliance and PPP infrastructure projects.
He founded Pioticon in 2023 to bring that integrated project management and control capability directly to clients. As Performance Controls Director he saw the City Rail Link project in Auckland through to completion, and delivered PMO services for Senex Energy's 60PJ portfolio, with the capability coached into the teams who carry it forward.
Performance on a major project is not something you report at month end. It is something you manage every day, with a plan the team owns and numbers they trust.
