Madan G Anand founded Pioticon in 2023 after 25 years delivering infrastructure projects across Australia, New Zealand, Qatar and India, from client, consultant and contractor sides. He kept seeing capable teams run projects on information that arrived too late to act on. Pioticon exists to close that gap. Built on his proprietary Pi System, the business delivers integrated project management and controls services, capability coaching through Pi Academy, and performance intelligence software through PiViz. His aim is simple: decisions made on evidence, while there is still time.

The story

From the site to the steering committee

Madan started in 2001 as a site engineer on roads in India, then moved through quantity surveying, road design, estimating and planning across India and Qatar. Those hands-on years shaped a view he still holds: a plan is only useful if the people building the work believe in it.

In Australia he built and led planning and project controls functions at John Holland and AECOM. In New Zealand he ran controls for the Pūhoi to Warkworth PPP with ACCIONA, then became National Project Controls Manager at Fletcher Construction, governing performance across a portfolio of major alliance and PPP infrastructure projects.

In 2023, after 16 years in Australia and New Zealand, he founded PIOTICON to bring that integrated project management and controls capability directly to clients. As Performance Controls Director he saw Auckland's City Rail Link through to completion, and delivered PMO services for Senex Energy's 60PJ portfolio, coaching the capability into the client teams who now carry it forward.
